This glides through the machine really smoothly, has a nice sheen and really strong. Fantastic range of colours. Highly recommend. Review: Excellent quality for a bargain price - Very pleased with this purchase. I was looking for a good selection of coloured threads without paying a fortune. There was a good variety of colours, pastel and bright to match up with most clothes for repair and to suit my needlework. Unlike the picture though the threads came on a plastic reel not cardboard as pictured which I feel is more sturdy. I don't use a sewing machine a lot, last time was over 7 years ago but I believe these would fit on a sewing machine since they are the same size as the few sewing machine reels I have. The ends of the threads are tucked underneath the thread and some were harder to find the start of than others but I didn't have to resort to cutting as some people did so hopefully that's not a problem anymore. With the cheap price I paid I was expecting that the quality of the thread wouldn't be great but I was pleasantly surprised. It was good strong cotton. I put it through a good stress test when I received them to check it out and it took a lot of effort to snap the thread so I'll definitely have to have my embroidery scissors choose to hand. I've not had any problems using this thread in my needlework, is been just as good as my more expensive gutermann thread. The only downside is that there is no slot to store the end of the thread when not being used but that's a really minor downside for 24 reels of thread.
