Early on I took one previous reviewer's advice and waited until the water finished heating before I made my selection as to cup size, and with that one caveat, I have never had a problem with it. The machine works every time. As you can see from the picture, I filter my water with a PUR pitcher-type water filter, and probably because of that I have only gone through two of the Keurig filters. I use the Strong Brew feature all the time, and it really makes a difference. And I like the fact that you have four different cup sizes to choose from. The 52 oz. reservoir is plenty big enough for me, especially considering my PUR pitcher back-up! I used to use my own ground coffee put in a refillable K-cup housing and filter combo (the one I purchased apparently is not available anymore, but there are others like it). That worked fine, and it's an inexpensive way to go. But I hardly ever do that anymore since I stumbled on Intelligent Blends coffee. I particularly like their Maud's line for the combination of price and quality (look for them on sale, because they always have sales, and when they do they are about $.33/pod or lower). I've tried most of their varieties, depending upon what I feel like at the moment, and I can't say there's a bad one in the bunch. But the ones I like the best are the Maud's In The House and the Kona Lisa blends. I hardly ever go to Starbucks anymore. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase. I feel bad for the people who have had problems, and in some cases I wonder why that is.
