My son is right at 21 inches so trying to decided on youth size or this one.** A: My son has a normal to large head. I measured it today at 23 3/4". Given the amount of velcro on the straps, 21" would fit. It's just a matter of adjusting all the straps to get the best fit. My old one was never comfortable and you couldn’t hear a thing. This one is totally different. You can hear and it doesn’t get too hot thanks to the ventilation slots. Sits very comfortably and gives you plenty of protection.
