A: Comes in a box--- 40x20x6 weighs about 35 lbs.out with the legs folded up  (only legs fold) easy to take down and put up.have purchased three for friends we all love our tables.

A: The opening in the table top is 7 3/4" x 18"   If your machine is smaller than that, it will fit.

**Q: how do you disengage the legs from the locking mechanism?**
A: There are snap-out / snap in holders.

I bought this table as I have limited space. It meets all my requirements, it was easy to adjust to fit my machine, very sturdy and it wipes clean. Take your machine off, raise the platform and you have a general purpose craft/cutting out table. My only criticism (which is why I scored it 4 stars) is that where the platform fits into the table it could have perhaps had some kind of veneer around the edges instead of being left bare, this however does not not cause any problems when in use either with or without a machine. I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone, in fact I don't know how I managed to sew without it!!
