With the capability to add up to four lines across six locations, it integrates seamlessly with security systems and offers flexible installation options, making it a must-have for modern communication setups. ## Description Construct Pro 1 x 6 Telephone Module with RJ-31 Jack This telephone module features color coded terminals, 4 line termination, and up to six outputs on a single unit. Are six outputs not enough? No problem. With an extension jack, you can quickly add an extra telephone module with just a network cable. Wall or Wiring Box Mountable Four pre-drilled holes line the outside of the box to provide easy mounting. They have small tabs to lock into the structured wiring box or you can easily pop them out and screw it on the wall. This will give you a clean look as well as keep your entertainment system from being cluttered. In the event your installation requires slight modifications, custom compatibility pins are included. Use these pins when you need to match the mounting pattern of other enclosures and/or equipment. Overriding RJ31 Jack On this module is an RJ31 port that allows you to run a cable to your home security system. This jack will override incoming calls to allow the system to dial out during an emergency. RJ31X Pin Layout The RJ31X jacks are designed to provide a fire or security alarm panel preference in dialing out in case of emergency. If any other terminal device (phone, fax, modem) is using the line when the alarm panel needs to call, the panel's internal circuitry breaks that connection and establishes its own. Do not plug any other device into the RJ31X jack: the jumpers between pins 1-4 and 5-8 are removed upon a 8P8C plug insertion, and the dial tone is not going to be delivered to house phones (trunk ports in case of aa KSU or PBX). The RJ31X jack always has to be located "upstream" from any other telephone equipment on the premise. When a plug is removed, the house wiring gets connected to the phone company wiring through the 1-4, 5-8 jumpers, therefore it is not necessary to remove RJ31X jack if the fire alarm/security equipment has been uninstalled.
