I scribe into hardened material like AR plate and Cutting Edges on heavy equipment all day everyday.i bought the 2 pack scribe with like 12 inserts. 3 months in I'm still using the original insert with no indication in sight that I need to change it. The magnet on the opposite end from the insert is unnecessary and just collects metal shavings but that is a minor inconvenience. I highly recommend this product. I'm metal fabricator on a daily basis. While this scribe feels cheap in your hand, don't be fooled. This is a worthy purchase. I scribe into hardened material like AR plate and Cutting Edges on heavy equipment all day everyday.i bought the 2 pack scribe with like 12 inserts. 3 months in I'm still using the original insert with no indication in sight that I need to change it. The magnet on the opposite end from the insert is unnecessary and just collects metal shavings but that is a minor inconvenience. I highly recommend this product. Please for the love of God don't change it!
