## Questions & Answers

**Q: is it any good**
A: Yes, I ride a BMW F800r motorbike and found my shell garage air compressor difficult to use, would often deflate my tyres and go into error mode over 36 psi, which was really frustrating. My rear tyre requires 42 psi. This bit of kit I found very easy to use. The screw on valve is good and screws on with ease. Took no time at all to pump up and pressure gauge is accurate. Did have to stand on it at times but if do half pumps, can pump with one leg. Overall very happy for £20.

**Q: When i screw and unscrew this a lot of air escapes. What am i doing wrong?**
A: My version has a different valve connector to you, it is the push on type then with a plastic lever you press down to secure it. On an older foot pump (a more expensive Michelin which I had for several years) I also had your type of connector which suffered from the same problem as you're getting. Basically you need to just keep on screwing the damn connector on until no air escapes, then pump in the air with one or two pounds above your tyre's recommended "psi" then when you unscrew and some of the the air escapes you'll have approximately the correct "psi" for your particular tyre.

When I ordered my foot pump I asked the seller what connector it had and at the time it had the one I wanted, if it had been the type you have I wouldn't have purchased it because of the hassle I had with the "Michelin" double foot pump. By the way these foot pumps are not paticularly accurate with their gauges so it would be advisable to buy a decent separate tyre pressure gauge. Hope this helps.

**Q: Is this pump suitable for inflating motorhome tyres?**
A: It has standard car tyre schrader valve fitting (screws in place on valve in same way as dust cap rather than the attachment system where you push it on to the valve then operate cam lever to ock in place - I assume motor home tyres are like standard car tires in that respect..

Not sure about volume of air needed to get motorhome tires up to pressure - that might be more of an issue. To get tire on standard VW Golf size car up to 30psi to roll on motorway fully-laden from about 10psi (when car has been unused for a while) takes me around 200 strokes or so if that helps. I imagine pumping up motorhome tires from scratch would be a good workout but topping up wouldn't be too bad. I'd suggest checking with a motorhome manufacturer or maybe a user group for motorhome owners to get best advice.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does the job!
*by F***N on 18 August 2020*

I've had astonishing bad luck recently with FOUR punctures in the space of 3 weeks, in my car that has no spare wheel or repair kit. As I live in a rural area and it can be difficult to get to a garage (even if you can find one open), I'd had enough of paying call-out fees and invested in this, so if it happened again I could at least limp to a garage or home. I needed a foot pump, and not one that relied on power from the cigarette lighter socket as mine doesn't work (great wiring job, Peugeot!). Sure enough, the very day after I put it in my car boot, I went over a level crossing late at night, and noticed that dreaded noise, pulled over and one of my brand new tyres was punctured already. No problem -- got the pump out and in a few minutes I'd got it up to recommended pressure with a bit to spare for deflation. Got home with it still not far below recommended; flat again in the morning but with this I was able to pump it back up again and get to a garage for a proper repair. Only took about 3 or 4 minutes to go from totally flat to 38psi. The gauge seems relatively accurate as the tyre was looking similar to the non-punctured ones which I had recently checked. All in all a good buy, I'll never leave home without it again!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality pump.
*by S***R on 30 December 2023*

This pump isn't the cheapest, but quality is spot on!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Capitan americas for pump
*by P***S on 10 July 2020*

Really well built, kind of over kill. It's a foot pump but feels like it can survive the apocalypse.Imagine someone gave you a rain coat made of titanium, its still water proof but a little extream.Great build quality, not too fused on the screw valve as not a quick release and can lose air rapidly if you don't have fast fingers.
