While it is a polyester -cotton blend , it definitely looks more like a spring/summer shirt as this would not necessarily keep you warm in colder weather. My son said it almost felt like his dri-fit sports shirt. He has a slim athletic build with long arms and a size medium fit him perfect (he's 6'1", 170 lbs, btw). He opted to steam it rather than iron it, and it looked great with his outfit. One small note to mention is that the collar is a bit slim/ narrow and the tie he was thinking about wearing looked bulky at the neck knot in comparison to the collar that he opted not to wear it and layered a vest instead. Overall its a great value and he plans to wear this year round.
