## Description

This pre-assembled advanced bilge pump system combines intelligent automatic controls with a remote-mounted Gulper pump for easy installation and superior performance. Designed for efficient water removal in even the most demanding marine environments. PN SI8284, 300 GPH, 12V, Fuse size: 10A, Inlet/Outlet type: 3/4" or 1" barbs, NRV, Wire length: Pump to power 6", Pump to sensor 12' This Whale IC Bilge Kit uses Intelligent Control (IC) to automatically turn the Gulper® Bilge Pump on and off as needed to reliably pump out bilge spaces. The Gulper Bilge Pump and strainer come pre-wired and pre-assembled, so you simply install and connect power. And you save time and money by reducing four separate components to one pre-wired system. The strainer uses IC to activate the pump as needed, and it also shuts off automatically. The pump’s remote mounting makes it easy to inspect, and keeps it dry and protected. It activates with a soft start that extends pump life, and the pump self-primes and runs dry without damage. The strainer has a small footprint so it fits into confined bilge spaces. The 12-volt DC, 10-amp system can pump up to 300 gallons per hour. A 12-foot cable connects the strainer and pump. The Gulper IC uses ¾ inch or 1 inch barbed hose connections, and the strainer uses ¾-inch hose connections. Non-choke valve allows for no filter to clean or get blocked. Review: Brilliant design - I had a broken bulge pump under the engine that I could not get to. I stalled this one and was able to move the suction part all the way to the back under the engine. The motor sits so it's easy to reach or repair if I have to.
Review: Works well - It works really well. It pumps very differently from other bilge pumps - more violently actually. It pumps water like a single cylinder unbalanced engine. The hoses from the pick-up to the pump and from the pump to the output shake violently while the pump is running so they need to be secured otherwise they will flop and bang around. The water sensor is located at the top of the pickup so the water needs to get to about 4 or so inches deep before the pump starts. There is an override to the sensor that starts the pump when tied to +12V. I wired this to an external level sensor to keep the water level lower than 4" - making the automatic sensor a backup. Overall, it works well. Pumps out the water quickly... and violently.

This bilge pump was a bit trickier to install because of its design (extra wires to run, needed to find a spot to put it, etc.), but absolutely thrilled with the result. Good quality, plenty of power, dead easy to wire up, quiet and now easy to access. I'm actually going to buy another one for the shower sump.
