This clock eats them. I'd say I put new batteries in every 2 months. So that is 4 AA batteries and 2 AAA batteries every months.Newest Update 01/06/2024I put all new batteries in the clock and in the remote. In total darkness it is not that great of seeing the time (in my opinion). You have to look straight at it also, to see the time. I don't know what they sell the clock without the remote, as I always have to use it to see the clock in the Bold Black numbers and letters.Newer Update coming : 10/30 2023 and it is all good that is coming tomorrow !Newest update 10/26//2023 10:50p.m, Eastern Daylight Time- backlight question answered..
