All of them sooner or later left me frustrated. Logitech's batteries wear down in a matter of months. The solar keyboard is no longer really available (except on the secondary market). And I just got tired of the "your keyboard has died, change the batteries again" routine. Unfortunately I could never really find a suitable wired replacement, until I tried this keyboard. While it's not perfect, and it felt a little "clacky" when I first started using it, it is nevertheless the best solution if you don't want a full-sized keyboard with keypad crowding your desktop. Pros: * Wired (for me this is a plus) - no more batteries! * Same approximate size, shape, and styling of Apple's official keyboard * Performs reasonably as expected. * No more wrestling with finicky wireless connections or batteries * Price still seems high for machine-molded plastic and some minor electronics, but it's cheaper than competitors. Cons: * Feels a little cheap when you type at first... a little "clickety-clackety" * Keys and typing action are not as nice as Macally's larger keyboards * There is a bright, unnecessary power light at the top of the keyboard. It's distracting, so I taped over it. * Plastic feels sturdy, but cheap Macally also makes a great, low-priced silent wired mouse that is also excellent. Overall I give this keyboard a positive rating because it's the best solution I've found to solve the "stop using batteries" problem. A better keyboard could still be made, but since Apple discontinued their wired products we are left to search for third party providers.
