## Description

Welcome to the new era of performance. AMD Ryzen 7000 Series ushers in the speed of “Zen 4” for gamers and creators with massive built-in memory for the ultimate game performance.

Review: Awesome little cpu with best value for performance - Best Value for your dollar. very easy to install, 8 cores but doesn't get too hot. only 75watts during gaming so even bad air coolers can handle it. Most games i played hover CPU between 65-70c and that's with old air cooler and very old restrictive case, at idle or web browsing it doesn't go over 40c for me. it usually doesn't go over 75watts. even when i multitask with stream + browser + game open or editing videos highest i saw was 72c. i went from i7 4770k to this 7800x3d and performance jump was insane, i gained over 100% average fps in cs2 at 1440p and new games went from unplayable to smooth 120+ fps. not even worth looking at other Non-x3d Cpus if you are a gamer. get this and you are set for next 10 years.
Review: A superb CPU for gaming and professional work - This CPU is great, it blows my older Intel i3 out of the water in terms of performance and functionality. This CPU is overclockable and can be undervolted. In gaming, it’s great and in professional work it’s great with the only real caveat for professional work being the lack of extra cores and threads. The temps can get pretty high under load so it’s advised you use a comparable cooler to keep the temps down. I recommend either a dual tower air cooler or an AIO liquid cooler (or custom loop if you’re feeling fancy) If looking to buy a high end Ryzen CPU and don’t know which one to get, I recommend either this CPU or the 9800X3D, You won’t be disappointed. If you’re more professional focused, the 9950X3D is probably the better option with its 16 cores compared to the 7800 and 9800’s 8 cores. Overall a very fast CPU for excellent performance in gaming and intermediate professional applications. 10/10

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why the high price, everywhere else its the normal price of 449?**
A: LIMITED!? In what way is it limited??? Some scalper celebrity sign it? It's a regular production item AMD will be selling for years. Just like the 5800x3d.
Seller just a scalper buying things it knows nothing about --heard "Gaming" and "released today" and saw $$$.

It's funny though on one hand, and I haven't been able to stop laughing because had this scalper known anything about these it'd have known that it's the third chip in line, 3rd from the flagship (think 4070 vs 40080 vs 4090; scalpers know about those, right?) but on the other it's sad, people waited for this chip BECAUSE it's $449! All scalpers do is stand in the way and delay someone that could use it. Nobody is going to pay $1000 for a desktop CPU.

I got my 7950x3d before the slime could react and it was twice the cores for half the price of this. Next big drop I'm gonna buy out the stock and resell 'em for cost. This has to end. This is disgusting.

Yeah, I agree. Calling Amazon to lodge a complaint about this seller. I spend a LOT of money each year here for years and like to think my business is important enough to not have to put up with this every. single. time. a part comes out.

Thanks to trash like this I had to wait 4 months to get a 4090 but eventually got one for MSRP. Refused to give in to these bottom feeders.

They need to tie the warranty to the original buyer for the first 6 months and no cash refunds. That'd effectively put a stop to this.

**Q: Is 7900x for $35 less a better buy than 7800x3d if i play at 2k and 4k resolution ?**
A: Get the 3D if you don’t need the extra cores. I made this mistake last gen. Got the 5900x instead of the 5800x3D. If you just play games and don’t use it as a workstation, the 3D is worth it in price to performance. Best thing I can tell you is to look up benchmarks “7900x vs 7800x3D” to help make the choice for yourself. Happy gaming!

**Q: Can i use this with a rtx 4080 on a 850w psu? i don't overclock.**
A: The RTX 4080 and 7800x3D are both very efficient. 850w will be plenty.

**Q: Worth it to upgrade from a 11900k? Playing on a 4k monitor.**
A: Corresponding hardware Would be a huge factor. Depending on whether or not you’re upgrading a GPU or already have like it’s a high-level 30 series card like a 3080 TI or if you were looking at a 4090 especially 4090 then yeah you would be bottlenecked likely by your current processor. I mean the X3D chips for 2K and 4K gaming have proven themselves to be amazing. Obviously, there’s already been affair about a maturation in the DDR, five memory kits in their . performance and compatibility of as well AMD has already committed to at least three generations with the newest generation of a M4 so you’d be looking at an upgrade path as well by that I guess if they stick to the current name is game 9000 series processor with the same motherboard and memory kit that you already have if you so choose. Now you probably want to look at upgrading to a PCIE 5.0 power supply and most likely be looking at a cooling solution upgrade as well. And really if you don’t have a more modern PCI agent for SSD like an 850 X from western digital or something like that or a fire Cuda you would probably want to consider that to make sure that you were taking advantage of all of those things course, you could peace meal these different components as you have additional money. One of the things I think it’s always really important to take into account two is that the value of your current items are always going to be continuing to decline so if you have the capital you can go ahead and post up your components and start selling them and as each one sells, you could take the money and then the difference on the next item to find a buyer and go ahead and buy it and ship out or deliver the item selling it on offer up or whatever else. I would say it’s absolutely phenomenal idea to go ahead and look at upgrading. You can look on YouTube for yourself to see the increases in performance especially if you’re considering one of the new 2023 monitors in the 2K or 4K space. The 4090 along with this CPU can actively play you know esports titles on 4K maintaining you know like 4 to 600 frames on a lot of games like overwatch valorant how many absolutely crushed his call of duty maintaining stable 180 to 240‘s if you’re into that game at all I mean And then when you’re talking about increases in performance along with like the use of the fake frame generation for like single player titles. Ignore all these other people then do your research. If you got the money I would say absolutely there’s possibly never been a better upgrade path if there has it’s probably when the nine series do you know GPUs in the tensors GPUs were coming out, but I would say overall man that the jumping improvement in technology, especially also productivity if that something that you’re looking at it, I mean, you just can’t beat it and right now, since there’s just not as many issues with scalpers, and everything else like that, go for it

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Purchased as "used - good"
*by B***B on April 30, 2026*

I ordered this "used good", and it has been a month now and everything has been working perfectly fine. I was reluctant at first but so far I've had a good experience with no issues. Came with original box and the CPU itself had no sign of wear or cosmetic damages. I was upgrading from AM4 5600x I definitely noticed a big jump in performance. Temps are normal, I also ended up undervolting it for personal preferences. It pairs really well with my 5070 Ti. Hope this helps anyone on the fence on buying used parts!
