The bite valve cover is kind of stupid, I cut it off immediately. The bite valve itself is good. The reason I bought this one is that it has two holes in the top so that it can be suspended in larger waterpacks, such as those used for hiking. My older Camelback bladder would slide down to the bottom of the pack and tug the hose, making it too short.
