Use something like a flathead screwdriver or a small piece of wood to push down on the cap all around the edges. The cap needs to be lined up exactly since there are slots that correspond. I used a piece of 1x2 that was about 8 inches long to get leverage on the cap. Review: Diaphragm worked but I could not get the new cap to snap on. - Item fit my 2015 Volvo 2.5 liter turbo 5 cylinder engine. I could not however get the new cap to snap on to my old oil separator assembly. But I did get the new diaphragm to work with my old cap, although getting it back on was pretty hard. As you can see it in the picture I had to use a long board pry up against the intake manifold and push it down.
