I came across this motion detector and thought I'd give it a shot, even though I wasn’t sure what to expect and figured I’d return it if it didn’t work. Well, it’s been a lifesaver. I bought two sensors and, after some trial and error, decided to place one at the foot of her bed, facing the head. This alarm is genius—it blasts loud music the second her feet start to touch the ground. She moves slowly enough that either I or her aide can rush over before she gets out of bed. The only minor thing I would mention (and it’s really not a big deal) is that it’s a little tricky to tell if the base is on or off. There's a sound when it’s off, but I still like to double-check, so it’s just an extra step. That said, it’s a small inconvenience compared to the peace of mind it gives me. After everything that happened with her fracture, I can finally sleep easy knowing she’s much less likely to fall again. This gadget is such a relief!

**Q: What is the transmission range of the receiver and motion sensor?**
A: The bed alarm infrared can sense the movement of 6ft-26ft (with temperature changes), and can transmit the signal to the receiver of 918ft (open ground)

**Q: I want to have a second receiver. can i have two receivers. so i can hear one in my room and one in den.**
A: We don't sell receivers separately, but you can order two sets at the same time, learn from each other and pair them according to the instructions to work together

**Q: If you cover up the indicator light will it affect the ability to sense motion?**
A: No. It will not affect the sensor.  The rectangular screen below the indicator light is the motion sensor, which you don’t want to cover up.

**Q: Pairing with multiple sensors.
Do I have to turn the power off to sensor #1 before pairing sensor #2 or do I leave them both on?**
A: When the receiver is off, press and hold the volume button for 3 seconds. After hearing the 'Di' sound, switch on the infrared sensor to be paired. Wait for 20 seconds and wave in front of the sensor

We purchased this for our toddler's room. The monitor is very loud(which is a good thing), but can be turned down. The monitor also flashes when it picks up motion. The sensor does not detect the objects that move (like doors). Overall its been a great product.
