When not on, they are a smoked black color that camouflage themselves with the wheel fenders. When on, they are super bright and look great. They are very easy to install. However, the back lights took a little bit longer. It is a very small area to work, without being able to turn the wheels out of the way. They seem to be of a good quality, and there's no reason to believe they won't hold up every bit as good as the original lights.
