A: The hook is 5mm wide.

**Q: Does one have to travel to a ups store for a return or will a return label be available for printing? Nearest ups store is 40 miles out of my way.**
A: Yes, to the UPS store or drop-off box.

**Q: How long are these straps?**
A: The straps are 8 inches long. They worked well, seem to be durable, and did what we needed them to do, but compromising the weather stripping is a bit dicey. We got rained on while using them and a little water got into the car. But, our car is also 12 years old, so it's hard to tell what actually caused it. Overall, a good alternative to a really expensive roof rack.

**Q: Will these hook on auto trunk edge to strap a cargo bag onto the trunk?**
A: We do not suggest using the hooks on a truck bed as it was not designed for that purpose.
