Well worth the cost. **Q: Can I use this in a marine reef aquarium?** A: Yes you can use it in marine aquariums. If you go to Ultralife web page you will read in the description for this that it does no harm to fish or corals. I swear by this stuff as it really works. My marine tank tends to have an outbreak once or twice a year and this stuff gets it under control in no time. It's the only remover that I have found that works **Q: it says a spoon full . Is this a teaspoon .** A: No you get a tiny spoon in the box. Has no markings on the spoon so dont know exactly how much it holds but it is around 2.5ml on one of those medicne spoons for kids (the small end). Understand it is a type of algey will this geatt rid of it?** A: It worked amazingly well in my tank! I followed the instructions carefully as I didn't want to kill the fish or the plants and within a couple of days the algae had started to disappear and after about a week it had gone completely. The fish and plants are still alive and weeks later the algae hasn't returned. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Just Works *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 11 April 2026* I had a bad case of BGA in one of my tanks and after reading other reviews decided to give this a go.I did a water change an removed the worst of the algae off the gravel and tank walls but it was also all over the plants and bogwood.I then added the first dose and a second dose after 48 hrs as advised on the instructions (mix with tank water and then add slowly)After a few days the effect was very noticeable and within a week everything was gone.I have since added a single dose to 2 of my other tanks as signs were starting and a second dose was not needed.This stuff is not cheap (£18 at the time of purchase) for the amount you get (small vial of powder) but it works so it was worth the money, I still have a small amount left after 2 doses in a 125l tank and 1 dose in a 450l and 80l tanks but I would not hesitate to order again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This worked. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 17 September 2026* I used this to get to grips with cyanobacteria in my planted aquarium so it was very useful. I was physically removing the stuff daily and wasting money on plants that got covered in the stuff. I tried two other products non of which even touched it!This was a last resort and to my surprise after the first dose there was a massive difference, 48hrs later I dosed again as instructed and it’s almost gone completely.
