When they say "Like New" it's pretty darn close. The compressor came in it's original box with all accessories in their original plastic package and the cords spooled up as if it came from the factory. I haven't yet seen a blemish on the unit itself. It really is in like new condition (and was $60 cheaper than a new unit from desertcart). This compressor is great. I was originally considering the Smart Jet (non-Pro) however what pushed me over is that if you lower the air pressure on the Smart Jet it achieves a lower pressure by a bleed valve which just lets the air run out. The result is that the auto-shutoff feature of the Smart Jet is then rendered useless and the compressor just runs constantly. This compressor however has a true regulator and you can decrease the pressure without loosing the auto-shutoff functionality. No air bleed here to get the real low pressure. * It gets to max pressure in just a few seconds (40psi) * It does NOT come with an airbrush as the pictures above show, but I thought that was too good to be true anyway. * It DOES come with a thin rubberish hose (mine did), approx 6 ft. Enough to get you going and to determine if you want a longer or different hose. The one provided has a "coil" to it which would probably straighten out with use, but I prefer a braided hose that is harder to kink. * Pressure was able to get to 40 psi (idle pressure) * Working pressure for me (max) was 24-25 psi. I was using the IWATA Eclipse HP-CS brush which has a 0.35mm needle. I think smaller needles will give me higher working pressure. But not sure. I am very new to these things. * Its very light and with the handle very easy to move around. * Bleed valve to release excess water in filter is just a matter of pushing the bottom valve on the tank with your finger to release the liquid. Nor does it come with an air hose. It is a very good compressor, however, if you are going to do long stretches of airbrushing, I recommend you get a compressor with an air tank so that you don't hear the pump running all the time.Otherwise, no complaints at all. **Q: Does it come with a hose? I know the airbrush is separate. Is the hose a separate purchase as well?** A: I just received mine today, and it does in fact have an airbrush hose in it. Its only a thin rubberish hose, but it is there. I bought a braided hose based on previous answer but now realize I dont need it. I wish I would have bought one a long time ago. I've had no problems with this compressor so far, but the max PSI you'll get is around 40-42 which if you work with less psi you'll have to thin your paints to ink viscosity and if you are using a .2 airbrush needle or you'll get clogging. Works really awesome with an airbrush needle of .3 which I've had no problem and a little thinning I was able to paint lines the size of a hair. :) **Q: how does it handle overheating?** A: Mine absolutely overheats. The temperature sensor causes an automatic shutoff, which makes the unit unusable until the temperature has decreased enough. It takes a fair chunk of time before the overheating happens, but it does -- and I don't paint in a hot area, either (I live in the Pacific Northwest and the studio I paint in isn't connected to the heat in the rest of the house). I am so not a brand guy that will just buy something due to the name, but this is on where you can kind of understand the quality based on the past performance. This is awesome. We use it in our personal bathroom for makeup application. It's quiet and doesn't run continuously. It's not as quiet as an ultrasonic toothbrush, but it's WAY quieter than flushing the toilet or running the sink/shower. And of course, it delivers the air beautifully, so there's not pulsing or variation.
