The slide made my son feel really comfortable, being that he's afraid of heights. He can look at it like a playground he gets to sleep in! I was afraid of the kids not sleeping and playing too much during bed time but they actually sleep better than they did before it. The bottom bunk gets rather dark so I added lights to it. A few things, make sure to have extra allen wrenches as the ones they provide stripped rather quickly. Make sure you have a drill too! Hand screwing all of the screws is exhausting!! Other than that it's easy to put together with clear instructions.
