Review: Decent enough timers - Although very toy-like, at around $1.24 each, these are good enough for their purpose. The glass timer is inside a plastic tube, attached to plastic stand ends. I wouldn't expect them to break if they hit the floor, but stepping or sitting on it likely would. The time is printed on both ends and having them colored is nice, especially with the 3-minute timer since you can barely read the white print on the yellow end caps. Like most sand timers, don't expect total accuracy, but they all come close enough to their stated times. I tested all four multiple times, and while the speed varies with any given use, they all finished within plus or minus 10 seconds. However, I've found the 1-minute timer sometimes gets bottle-necked and stops. I haven't noticed this with the 2 or 3-minute ones though (don't really use the 5-minute). I only use these when lifting weights to time my rest in between, so it's not that critical, but something to take into account if the timer isn't in constant view. You don't want to wake the kids up because of a loud annoying tick tock kind of timer. Each timer is for a different time; one minute, two minute, three minute, and five minute.
