This is a surprising little controller. the software is easy to figure out and is loaded with features. It also only works if you have a USB 2.0 port. my laptop has 2.0 & 3.0 ports and this doesn't work on the USB 3.0 port. Programed a full show & had my son run it. Now I'm programming it to be a stand alone controller that I can run from the stage without having my laptop at the show. For the money it's more than adequate, it's awesome.. I'm using it with 6 Chinese LED pars from amazon (cheap lights) and a Chauvet Kinta FX. It's a small light show but I'm a solo performer so it's plenty but you could add tons more lights to it. Most if not all cheap $49. DMX512 controllers have that basic function. And every time I turn on my rig I have to fiddle around to get it to work and everything comes up in a different way than the last time. The FX are pretty cool but don't run smooth. I was very disappointed and sent mine back. Oh yeah I even used this dongle with MyDMX 2.0 and 3.0 (30 day trial) and I was still let down. Sorry ADJ but this is NOT for me.
