Review: Monster Clay is the best. - I love Monster Clay. This batch of Medium is significantly softer than the hard, I’ve never used the soft, but this medium is almost as soft as regular oil based plasticine clay. I’ve ordered some hard gray to melt in with it to firm it up. One of the great things about Monster Clay is that you can mix firmness grades together to get the perfect consistency. LOVE this stuff!

**Q: Will liquid latex release from this pretty easily or should I coat the sculpt in baby powder?**
A: As long as you don't reheat it, it will keep it's details. It easily removes from latex

**Q: Can i use this clay to make stopmotion puppets?**
A: Once it cools you can work in details. But to move it for stop motion would probably not work to well. It isn't veryaleable once it cools

**Q: Would you be able to use it with petrabond sand to make a mold?**
A: Yes, but you may have to toss your clay rather than reusing it

**Q: after it dries, is it soft or is it hard? And will it be heavy or light after it dries, say after making a mask?**
A: It doesn’t dry. It is a wax based clay. It gets hard in cool temperatures. And soft with warm temperatures. If you want something permanent I’d say do a casting of your creation or use different clay

I love Monster Clay. This batch of Medium is significantly softer than the hard, I’ve never used the soft, but this medium is almost as soft as regular oil based plasticine clay. Got this for testing purposes, Will be purchasing the harder formula for my purposes. In general though this is fantastic for practicing and being able to reuse for certain purposes. Will be getting the harder version for creating silicone molds. Also a great way for someone to get started with sculpting. (Like me :)) Although I see many professionals use this as well for prototyping and such. I can see why.
