Better to wait until the bark clippings have broken down into the soil. **Q: Will this protect plants that ive cut back ver the winter?** A: Yes it will. The clue is in the name, straw-mulch, strulch. It works the same as a mulch with the added bonus of deterring snails and slugs. πŸ˜€ **Q: How light is this.
