Unscrew it? Or does it clip into place?** A: Didn’t install mine as it would be a permanent fixture and in the way especially for my cover. **Q: Anyone compare this to the smartpool pool eye?** A: This one is permanently installed. Didn’t use it. **Q: Is this NY state verified?** A: It pass inspection for NYC but I don’t know about NYS requiredments.
