Review: Perfect replacement/upgrade for PS4 Pro - I got this as a replacement for my PS4 Pro when the original HDD finally crashed after 6 years. Games load MUCH faster and the "Now Loading" screens hardly even pop up. The difference was night and day. Even the overall system menus and such, which I'd gotten used to lagging over time, are noticeably faster. Loading the OS onto the disk was also very easy (PS website gives instructions that are incredibly simple). I wish I'd done this upgrade years ago, and my only regret now is that I got 1 TB instead of 2 TB like I'd been considering. Maybe I still will. This product was very cost-effective, and I was able to get it the very same day I ordered it. Those were the primary reasons for this specific purchase, since I wasn't entirely sure if the disk was the issue, and this was the quickest to deliver per lowest price overall. I'd recommend this for anyone considering swapping out their old HDD, and this particular brand absolutely delivers! If I do go with the 2 TB drive, it'll be this brand I buy from.

I tried everything online I could think of to remedy the situation and finally came down to the last solution by replacing the drive. Oddly I received the error a few times after installing, but after running the PS4 a few times after the install, the errors have gone away and have not come back. Not sure if it just needed to rebuild content on the drive or clear out a cache somewhere. Note that when you put the new drive into the PS4 you will need to follow a process for using a thumb drive to initializing the drive with the latest firmware.

I was having issues with my original ps4 hardrive like crashing, freezing, corrupted files and in general slow performance. I ordered this as a budget because I said its better than nothing as long as it solves my old hard drive problems and it did. This hard drive solved all my problems once I installed it I felt the difference right away, my ps4 feels like new. How to set it up on PS4: 1. Look up a tutorial on how to set up a new hard drive (doesn’t have to be a video specifically on this one) 2. First of all you’re going to take out your old ps4 hard drive tray and unscrew it, insert the new one and put it in and make sure its facing the right way and that its screwed on the holes on the sides. 3. Make sure you have a flash drive of at least 2 GB, if you don’t have one make shre to buy one with this hard drive. 4. On google search up ps4 hard drive reinstallation and follow the instructions 5. After downloading everything into your hard drive files plug it into your ps4 6. Make sure your ps4 is completely shut off and hold the ps4 power button until it beeps a second time let it go and it should go on safe mode. 7. Press reinstall and all the latest ps4 softwar from the flash drive should copy and your set.
