I have an AFO and another higher end brace that work well for running but honestly I wanted to try something that didn’t stand out so much. I know this isn’t made for running but wanted to give it a shot. It has actually worked really well! I use sturdier running shoes and have even run a half marathon with this brace. It doesn’t fix my gait but I don’t think that’s going to happen with any brace at this point. It does loosen throughout a run because it’s velcro but I wouldnt dock it a star since it’s not made for running. Worth giving this a shot. My only suggestion would be to make the strap coming from your shoelace to the brace brace to have a clip instead of Velcro. To me it would be sturdier. You’ll have to judge your own body to know if running would work for you but I felt fine because I consistently run and strength train so I felt itd be worth seeing if I trip or not. Thankfully, I haven’t had any bad trips! I never write this thorough of a review but I relied of them when purchasing this so thought it only right to do the same for others! Review: Good aid but order replacement Velcro straps at the same time. - These are excellent to use to stretch your feet ss well as hell keep in an upright position too. These also help those recovering from a variety of health issues who are trying to walk unassisted with an aid such as a walker. Balances and helps maintain that balance. The only drawback is sometimes gettting it tight enough to assist on your leg. The Velcro cover that is to be placed through your shoelaces at times needs to be readjusted which can be annoying if you are in the middle of Physical / Occuoational Therapy or exercising as it can interrupt that. The price is reasonable but I did read other reviews that said you might need to order additional Velcro strsos - so consider that in your budget when buying these. The rigid plastic brace he tried originally was so much trouble he wouldn't use it. This soft, fabric brace is easy to put on, comfortable to wear, and it's easy to keep the ankle part in place and change the strap to another pair of shoes.
