The second thing I noticed is that it doesn't feel immediately freezing like a gel pack does; it sits on the skin, thoroughly and deeply cooling the area much more efficiently than a gel pack. It feels amazing, almost soothing as opposed to the harsh, driving cold of a gel pack. But don't be deceived, it is VERY cold and does the job better than well!
