The pro is the audio file - you have a fast and a slower version of the dialogues but also audio files for more content such as numbers and other words.The reason I gave it a 4 stars: The author does not explain at all why she moves from one ending to a different ending of a word ... so you are kept guessing and google translating a bit....I am not sure why the author chose so little homework at the end of every chapter.... I wish she spent more time on the content....I would say I knew some Shqip prior to starting this book and it still kept me on my toes... I bought other books also bc it will take several books to actually grasp the complexity of the grammar .. (and I speak 5 lanagues but none of them even come close to Shqip) .... unless you are from the region ....Anyways, I would still recommend it bc of the audio files - these are the best so far ... great quality and well done.

    Deceptively simple

This is a deceptively simple book for learning this language. I say that by way of a complement. Though I haven’t yet listened to the audio files, I felt immediately comfortable learning the language. The author is a native speaker and that comes out in the simple lessons that are clear, concise, and make the learning of this language very approachable to someone not familiar with this people group. The grammar isn’t complex or complicated, making it more easily receptive to non-language learners. Each lesson builds upon the previous in bite size additions in vocabulary, grammar and cultural usage. Her comments and sections on culture provide a small window on the people and familiar traditions. Overall, I’ve found this a very helpful and user-friendly book for self-study.
