It is made out of 316L stainless steel. It produces over 7 liters per minute at 30 amps. Also you require electronics and wire for installation. What application are you using this on and I will direct you to the correct kit? **Q: What material is the clear covering at the ends of the cell?** A: Lexan plastic. I used potassium chloride as the electrolyte and after a few months using 7 amps through the plates with a 12 Volt DC 25 amp power supply the metal plates dissolved and stopped producing. I had to throw the cell out. Initially I added electrolyte solution to a electrolyte solution tank above the cell until I got the 7 amps output and a .1 ohm resistor to measure amps. The unit was rated for 40 amps. But after thorough testing I've come to the conclusion, There is no way it will ever make 7 liters per minute does it matter how much power you put to it. Much less at 30 amps it will.
