Lacron says that the TMV 18 requires 75 kg of sand - so I would recommend 60kg of glass as it has a different density to sand. It filters more efficiently than sand so you will find it an excellent replacement. Again I would recommend that you check your model online to be sure its the same model **Q: Can I just add this to the existing sand in my filter?** A: Yes. There would be no reason why you couldn't do this. However, for maximum efficiency, the advice would be to remove any old sand media from your filter and dispose of it carefully.
