I needed it for my Milwaukee heavy duty (hatchet) saws all. This saw had the 18v. nicad and with much research this is the only one that would fit.So happy I am able to save my saw. ### ⭐ Not for Milwaukee 18v tools.. won't lock & output showed 19+ volts *by K***N on February 6, 2024* The media could not be loaded. This product will not lock into place on the tool, it only locks on to the battery. The last thing anyone needs is a batter sliding off due to vibrations with something like a 7-1/4 inch circular saw. Talk about a safety hazard and a lawsuit waiting to happen when someone cuts themselves from a sudden imbalance or blade-kickback. Watch the video just how easy it is to bump the batter off.I'm not willing to buy something new and immediately cut and modify the adapter as one reviewer did. So I measured, took photos, and documented... The shoe-plate that mates the adapter to the tool is about 2mm too short as designed (as another reviewer wrote, about 1/16th inches off). Tool needs it to reach ~4.4 cm and the adapter has a reach of ~4.2 cm.The documentation says things like, "inert battery into battery adapter..." -- if they can't spell correctly (i.e. "insert"), it doesn't fit, and they write product documents with incorrect grammar, should I even trust this won't damage my well built $200 Milwaukee tools? This lead me to check the adapter voltage regulation (pushing higher volts on a tool designed for lower volts will run more current through wires and circuits not designed for the heat nor amps leading to burn-outs). I had 100 ohm resister which doesn't load-up the battery quite like my Milwaukee tool (saw is probably more like 3 to 6 ohms)... but it should be a "fixed voltage" circuit inside the saw since it's a battery powered circuit (i.e. volts shouldn't change as resistance changes, only current will change), the adapter output was 19.2v for a full charged DCB204 battery and 19.0v for one that had 2 out of 3 bars of charge. Maybe that doesn't sound like much but it's about 7% more current to the circuits and motor. For a tool that has split-second saw brake timing and other circuits, it's not worth the chances it could shorten my tool's life -- not to mention, it just doesn't fit/lock on.I should have paid more attention to the written reviews vs the misleading rating. Folks happy with this are putting it on Ryobi tools? Milwaukee reviews say this doesn't fit?
