Review: Another great IWISS tool - As a DIY guy with a variety of hobbies and home repair needs, IWISS tools are in that sweet spot of price, value, and durability. Will these hold up to regular daily use in a professional environment? I don't know. They are perfect for someone like me that only needs them for the occasional small project. I now own four or five IWISS tools and they all perform perfectly when I need them and they don't hurt my wallet.
Review: Can get an OEM grade crimp - This is primarily used for JST-XH connectors, I've used it on smaller ones. I bought a ratcheting one first, that just nipped the ends off the wires, never could get a decent crimp. This one took a bit of trials to get working right, can do a connector in a couple of minutes now. Tip for use, clip the pin off the carrying strip and stick it in the appropriate jaw opening first, then close the jaw to hold it. I'm a righty, so that's using the right hand, pin opening to the left. Left has the pre-stripped wire ready to stick in the pin. Run it in to where the insulation is past the first set of lugs and immediately crimp. Then move the combination over to the next larger opening and repeat for the insulation. I'm getting crimps that look factory. The key is no hesitation, once that wire is past the first set of wings, crimp. And with the small JSTs, you need a very small bit of wire stripped. The ratcheting one wasn't as easy to use, was always stuck in one position or another and I couldn't feel how the crimp was doing. Always mangled the pins. The small ones don't take tons of force and don't need a lot of leverage to crimp. This one is about perfect for that use. The one I have seems to be well made, I've used it for a couple of years now. It's replaced I don't know how many thermistor, heater and fan connectors on 3D printers.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not bad for a cheap crimper.

I like these because they will crimp a wide variety of terminals. They do a good job on 2.54mm JST connector terminals. If I were needing to do this frequently, I would spend the extra money for a dedicated ratchet crimp tool. Its a little tricky getting those tiny terminals lined up correctly, they tend to tilt to one side. Still, they produce a good solid crimp on the conductor. You then have to make the crimp on the wire insulation. You really have to take the extra time to bend the little "tails" of the terminals inward. If left angled out, think V shaped, they either slip out of the jaws or get mangled. The instructions for the tool tell you to do this. Also, I found that a little downward pressure on the exposed end of the terminal while you SLOWLY crimp onto the insulation helps a lot. As some other reviewers noted (see all review pics), the crimp tails can get pushed backwards if you don't do this. Also, you don't want to crush the wire insulation (see my photo). Do these produce a good crimp, yes they do, with care. Can you do it quickly, no, not with these.
