Other wise you would have to purchase a Siemens RAM1 Cylinder/pipe Stat or a Salus CT100 Cylinder/pipe Stat **Q: Can it handle 13A current?** A: Yes, of course. Your heating system will draw less than 3 amps so the stat will never even have to handle anything like 13 amps anyway. Your heating circuit is protected by a 3A Fuse in the switched spur box that isolates it, and the amount of amperage drawn is determined by the appliance, not the circuit size. When I opened the stat a tiny slip of paper bearing the wording "please notice the order of terminals" fell out. And that was it.
