Printing speed was OK on text-based documents but PDFs and graphics-intensive documents took forever to get to the printer. The printer has been a reliable workhorse for over fifteen years and I really did not want to get rid of it but I needed more speed. I bought this JetDirect 620n to extend the life of the printer and avoid the expense of a new laser printer. I am very glad I did. Setup was a breeze; I installed the card, plugged in a LAN cable and went to the Add New Printer dialog. My PC found the printer, I clicked YES and that was it. Now large files and small start printing almost before I click the Start button.
