Negligible odor, applying it indoors and I do not need to ventilate areas at all. I was light sanding and then spray coating the cabinet doors outside. But I needed something for areas I could not remove and take outdoors. With the Terlans Shellac I did not even need to sand the worn areas. I just brushed the product on lightly and scratches and steam marred areas disappeared.
