Also does it relax your hair or texturize it?** A: yes you can apply product yourself. It releases the hair but not as a relaxer. It is used with the wave system. Would this bring out my natural curls?** A: From my own personal use/experience (12 yrs+), this is how it seems to work: Phase 1 chemically straightens your natural curls (not so much "bringing them out" as making them bone-straight, and thus more manageable).
