I wrap the floss like the posted video of the item then once the floss is where I want it I use my finger to push it between my teeth and the handles to scrape the floss up and down and around. The handles let me keep the floss as tight or relaxed as I need and the metal posts hold the floss ends instead of having it slip out of my fingers. I was able to take more time and care while flossing because I wasn't losing circulation to my finger tips. I would also like to note that the metal is finished well.. I was a little worried that it would be stamped out and have rough or sharp edges but it's very smooth and comfortable to use. Nothing is sharp.
