It includes illustrations and explains the job of the central service processing technician. It is everything you really need to know about how to do the job. My wife had to use this with an instructor who basically only gave tests at HCC Coleman and didn't teach any of the hands-on skills during lab time. So this book was critical to her because it provides the closest thing to actual training she is going to get until clinical. The drawbacks of the book were that there were a lot of misspellings in it, which is sad because the job you are supposed to be learning to do is very important and they don't care enough in writing the book (instruction manual) to spell right. People's lives depend on the Sterile Processing Technician and they can't spell right. But this is the only book the have out there that we were able to find that teaches the skills for that position. It cost $250 plus $25 shipping when we bought it and comes with a study manual. The only way to get the study manual is to buy it directly from the company that created the book in a package with the textbook. This review is for the textbook though. The study guide that accompanies it is critical to your success in the class. You cannot succeed in the course without the both items package, which can only be bought directly from the publishing company unfortunately. We ended up with two copies of the textbook and one study manual because we bought the first textbook solo on amazon and then realized you have to have the study guide as well in order to succeed in the course, which was basically just reading for and taking tests every week. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Four Stars *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2016* It is the book I wanted.
