Description: The Solar Power Management Module (D) is designed for 6V~24V solar panel, it can charge the 3.7V rechargeable Li battery through solar panel or Type-C connector, and provides 5V/3A regulated output (supports multiple protocols such as PD/QC/FCP/PE/SFCP). The module features MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) function and multi protection circuits, therefore, it is able to keep working with high-efficiency, stability, and safety. Review: Quick & Easy way to add battery backup to your project/RaspberryPI - This board is a quick and easy way of adding a backup battery to your projects which can be charged via a USB-C charger or solar cells for times when power is not available. When all setup there is a 5V output that can handle upto 3Amps of power which is more than enough to drive a full raspberry PI computer or any other device that uses 5v. Mounting of the board can be done via 4 mounting holes using the screws & posts included in the packaging. The board itself is pretty small for what it can do with multiple connection points across the board depending what you want to use. for Batteries you can use the included battery holder to attach 3 18650 cells which are not included but can be obtained from any number of places. If you don't want to use them you can connect any other lipo battery that is rated at 3.7v using the screw connectors (Eg you could use larger lipo's with far higher capacity) for Solar you can connect any solar cell that outputs between 6v & 24v using the DC Jack port which some solar cells come with or via the screw connector. power output can be done via either USB-C or the screw terminals and is rated for 5v at 3Amps MAX. Note the USB-C connector can also be used to output 5V to any device like a raspberry PI or can be used to connect to a USB charger to provide power for charging the battery. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastically useful little solar charge module

This little solar charge module is a really great find. There are so many different ways to use it. Having a solar charge controller, battery charger and voltage regulator all packed into one board makes things a lot easier for projects. It is designed to charge 18650 cells, which is a massive plus since they are so easy to source and have a decent energy capacity for this kind of setup. It has been working perfectly fine for me since it arrived, though I am planning to really put it through its paces over the next few months to see how it handles a long term setup. It feels plenty solid enough to cope with a thorough test though. If you need more details on the specs and appropriate uses, a quick search online brings up a decent wiki and some guides that explain exactly how to get it running. Definitely a handy bit of kit and well worth picking up if you are working with Pi, Arduino or any other similar projects.
