Also, the pip catcher is very well designed, not a single pip has escaped into the juice in months of use. Review: A good basic - A design that has been in production for more than 50 years must be good. This was for my mother, as hers mysteriously disappeared in a house move, but looks exactly the same as the one she bought in the 1960s, and she is very happy with it. I dispensed with mine like this a couple of years back in favour of another glass one which has a deeper trough for juice, as you can only fit in juice from half a citrus fruit in this before having to pour out, which is a little messy to do (dribbly pouring spout).
