Review: Great gaming laptop! - At first, I tried downloading forza horizon 4 and I thought this laptop was junk because it would lag and stutter and looked like crap with all settings on low. After downloading some other games, I realized that it is only an issue with that game. I play the division, farcry 5, grand theft auto 5, and ghost recon wildlands on ultra settings at 120+Hz with no issue. The monitor is only 1080 so if that turns you away look into something else. But I have a 1440 144hz monitor for my desktop and this isn’t hard to look at after playing on that. The sound quality is garbage. It’s not loud, and if there’s a lot of explosions or background game noise, it really sounds terrible. But headphones fix that. It also is incredibly loud when boosting the CPU and GPU but it hasn’t bothered me. The built in overclocking software is really easy to use and there is also a button near the power switch to quickly change profiles to boost cpu and you performance. It also plays VR without a problem. I was playing Pavlov on WiFi with no issue. I also use this laptop for work, I use Solidworks and Camworks to make 3D models and this laptop runs both very smooth and fast. All around I’m pretty happy I purchased this
Review: Vertical viewing angles aren't the best, the fans are a little loud, but overall very nice. - I'm going to be writing this review coming off my old Asus G751JY-DH71 with a GTX 980m, 24GB DDR3, 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD, and an i7-4710HQ. I bought this laptop kinda out of nowhere because one of my good friends decided that he wished to buy my old laptop, the one that I named above, within a week's time. So with the final 7 days that I had my old laptop, I went searching online for something that could replace it. Long story short, after searching through many different sites (including eBay and Newegg), I ended up landing on this laptop because of it's (relatively) affordable price tag of about $1450 whenever I bought mine off of desertcart Warehouse just a few days ago. For anybody who has an i7-4710HQ or a GTX 980m, the i7-8750H is about 50% faster than the i7-4710HQ and probably any other pre-8th gen Intel CPU. and the GTX 1070 is about 2x faster than the GTX 980m. Compared to my old Asus, this laptop is significantly thinner and lighter. It still shocks me after about a couple of days of ownership just how light the laptop is whenever I pick it up to move it around (not that the old Asus was particularly heavy, but it was noticeable whenever it was in a bag) especially considering how much more powerful this is compared to the Asus. I have two negatives about this laptop (that aren't really too huge of a deal to me personally, but they could be a dealbreaker to some others): 1. the vertical viewing angles of the laptop screen aren't the best. However, thankfully, since the laptop hinge can go back a pretty large amount, the vertical viewing angle thing ended up not being an issue for me at all. Also, it's a 60hz non-GSync display but I bought this laptop realizing that it wasn't able to go to 120hz or do GSync, but if you want to buy this laptop, be aware of that. 2. The laptop is a fair bit louder than my old Asus laptop. However, you can create custom fan profiles for the CPU and GPU that can alleviate this issue, and headphones block out the sound very well, too. A few final notes (not really negatives, just something to be aware of) are that the Windows key is on the right side of the laptop, the Numpad is kinda small, and you have to press the Space key a little harder than the rest of the keys. The keyboard's very nice and I'd say Steelseries did better on this keyboard than I had on my old Asus and I thought that was pretty good to begin with. Also, if you intend on removing the back cover of the PC, after removing the screws and opening the pins, pull it on the side that has the two USB-A ports, the SD card slot, and the power cable as pictured above. If not, then you can risk snapping the motherboard in half if you pull on it from the side with the HDMI and the USB-C. Tl;dr is that the laptop is really fast, but it's 60Hz, the vertical viewing angles and fan sound aren't the best, and the keyboard has a few tiny quirks that aren't issues necessarily but it takes getting used to. Also, if you plan on opening the laptop, after opening the screws and pins, pull on it from the side that the picture is shown (2 USBs, SD Card, and Power cord side)

### ⭐⭐ The Speakers Are HORRIBLE
*by K***N on December 17, 2018*

I love the laptop. I'm usually not a reviewer or a complainer but I think it's really important to let everyone know that the speaker quality is HORRIBLE. Like seriously terrible. For the price I paid for the laptop, and for the way they advertise the speakers, you would think it would at least be loud. I literally have trouble hearing the speakers over the laptop fan. It's a huge bummer. I will say that the graphics quality is amazing. I have been able to play EVERYTHING on ULTRA. It has a decent headphone amp so with my audiophile grade headphones I get amazing sound! Nahimic 1 is downloaded on it as well. They advertise that it is Nahimic 3, but no, it's the outdated software. The screen quality is not the best either. I am happy I bought it, but I do feel a little bit bamboozled so that is why I am giving such a low review. It is pretty disappointing to drop almost 2k on a laptop and it isn't as awesome as you'd hoped. I would do a little bit more shopping and would ultimately go with another laptop, but due to the time constraint I was in, I didn't feel the need to return it completely since I bought it on black friday and couldn't get other discounts since it was delivered well after the holiday was over. I would do some homework and go with something better. Pay a little more for better speakers.
