No leaks so far in the 2 days I have had it but I will report back if it starts leaking. I am able to use on my stainless steel wide mouth insulated bottles if I just screw on the lid and leave the part that attaches the cap just hanging there. I may experiment to see if there is leakage if I just cut that part off and then just attach that ring as a separate piece to the camelbak one when I use with the camelbak (and using a small non weight bearing carabiner to keep the cap attached to the lid's carry handle since I plan on using the stainless steel bottles more often and in fact that is the intended purpose of buying this lid in the first place. Works perfectly with camebak but for those interested in using it as a "hack" for other brains stainless steel bottles I think it will work there too you just need to not us the thin o ring like piece that hold the cap. Seems the stainless steel threads are perhaps shallower. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great cap, good price *by M***C on August 10, 2017* I just bought a new camelbak bottle the other day. Lost it at the beach day 1. Fml. Looked in the kitchen cabinet for another bottle. We have 4 camelbak bottles and 1 cap. Figures. These replacement chute caps are great. Much easier to keep clean than the eddy style caps. Personally, I like the original caps, the ones that were $3 that camelbak discontinued. Should bought more of those, but didn't think they'd discontinue their best, simplest cap.Anyways, great cap for your camelbak bottles. We have a kids bottle, 2 .750ml bottles, and a 1 liter. These fit all of them. For people complaining that these suck and leak and get mold, that's your fault. These caps and bottles are not designed for carbonated drinks. It will leak if you do. If you put soda in here and then it leaks in your gym bag, don't complain. And why are you drinking soda at the gym? Dumb. If you get mold in the cap, wash it. Every bottle or cap on the market is subject to getting mold. These aren't any different. Use common sense folks. It goes a long way. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy, hygienic, spill proof *by L***X on March 2, 2018* Easy to drink, easy to clean, spill proof. Bought for my glass .7L camelbak.The original bitevalve grew this black mold or grim (?) and I got constantly paranoid that it was dirty. On top of that, it was hard to clean and I had to squish my fingers in to try to scrape the stuff out. A much more minor concern was that I had gotten the glass bottle because I prefer glass to plastic and there was still a plastic straw (that would very occasionally come detached) sitting in my water. Ordered this as a replacement, fell in love and just recently ordered another.This is a screw cap like a normal water bottle you'd buy at a store. The cap slides into the back of the main lid and holds in place, but for quick drinks I just loop my finger through the plastic loops you can see in the pic. It covers the entire mouth piece so I don't feel like its going to get contaminated if it falls top first into dirt (as I would with the bitevalve).I haven't run it through the dishwasher yet, but it's been easy enough to clean anyway.Love it. It's great.
