I've lost count of the number of 5.8GHz transmitters in which the IR gives up the ghost, leaving me with a perfect picture and no control. This time I opted for something different and kept my 5,8GHz transmitter and receiver but bought this small pair of IR extenders instead. They are excellent. I have full control over my channels selection and the picture is just as good as it ever was. They come as two small black plastic boxes with either battery or micro USB power supply, (I've opted for battery at the moment, allowing me to place them both exactly where I want them). There is full control through two walls (one supporting) at a distance of about 25 feet.Not sure how long the batteries will last (2xAA in each) but delighted with this product. ### ⭐ Not good. *by M***L on 1 December 2020* Remote extenders, I always believe a cable is the best way to extend, well anything really, wireless always has issues, and these had issues. They were interfering with other equipment, causing things such as a media player to turn on and off, start a movie, etc, even though I wasn’t even using a remote control at the time.
