In the past two years, Iamamiwhoami has surprised, delighted and intrigued in equal measure. Beautiful and mysterious music videos began to appear online, both surreal and visually sumptuous. Speculation was rife as to who the artist in question might be whilst the videos generated millions of hits and created a huge online following. Over time the singer was discovered to be Jonna Lee, though little was known of her or her collaborators. Plaudits followed including a Swedish Grammy award for 'Innovator of the Year', plus nominations for two MW online music awards in 2011 and the 'Digital Genius Award' this year.

    OMG!  Just perfect!  iamobsessediam!New, but familiar. Energetic, and calming.  First time I listened to this album I was a little disappointed, but I went back to it a couple of weeks later and it grew on me, and grew, and grew...Best album of 2012?  Maybe!  Unlike similar acts, this is a really full album, full of ideas, and I hope they keep producing more and more....

    Initially didn't like this as much as the B.O.U.N.T.Y singles, but it has grown enormously on me. Strong melodies, powerful beats, lush, grainy and buzzy synth textures complement Jonna Lee's ethereal vocals. Wish I had lyrics as she is so quirky you want to know what it all means. Probably my fave of 2012.

    If you liked previous Iamamiwhoami releases then you'll probably like this too. Of course it's Jonna Lee's voice that's the glue to the whole thing but the arrangements are excellent too. The visual style of the accompanying video version of the album gets a bit 'samey' but the tracks themselves are superb.
