## Overview

Faraway is a strategic card game by Pandasaurus Games featuring 68 region cards and 45 sanctuary cards. Designed for 2-6 players, it challenges you to explore a constantly changing world by playing 8 region cards in sequence, then scoring them in reverse order. With a unique Fame-based victory system and immersive gameplay, Faraway offers a fresh, tactical adventure every time.

## Description

The land in this mysterious continent regularly shifts, twists, and reforms itself, making any attempt at mapping it obsolete. The only way one can master Alula is by walking it time and time again to make one’s own atlas. Travel this ever changing-world, meet its inhabitants, and gain more Fame than your competitors. Over the course of the game you will play a row of 8 cards in front of you from left to right. These cards represent the Regions you will come across while exploring the lands. Characters on these cards will grant you Fame if you later fulfill the conditions they demand. However at the end of the game, you walk back the way you just explored, scoring cards in the opposite order you played them. The player with the most Fame after scoring Regions and Sanctuaries wins!

Review: One of our favorite games - This is an amazing game with a unique mechanic. It's relatively easy to learn, but it takes a couple of playthrough to really understand what you're doing. Luckily it's really fast, so usually we play it twice in a row when teaching people. Once so they understand the mechanics, and a second time so they can actually have a chance to win. The artwork is gorgeous. My favorite part is that if a resource is available from a specific card, you can find the resource hiding in the background art of the card somewhere!
Review: Great fast paced game for older teens / adults - great for travel - We absolutely love this game! We moved it to a cloth pouch and bought clear plastic sleeves for the cards and took it on a few trips with us. You do need a little bit of table space for each player (and no wind) but it has complexity that even playing it over 25 times now we still are refining our strategy (2 adults). I think an older teen (14 or older) would be able to play it well, but would not recommend for younger kids. its a great go-to travel game. The quality of the cards and the artwork is clever and engaging!

This is an amazing game with a unique mechanic. It's relatively easy to learn, but it takes a couple of playthrough to really understand what you're doing. Luckily it's really fast, so usually we play it twice in a row when teaching people. Once so they understand the mechanics, and a second time so they can actually have a chance to win. The artwork is gorgeous. My favorite part is that if a resource is available from a specific card, you can find the resource hiding in the background art of the card somewhere!
