There aren't any cute cartoons or anecdotes to be found here. What you get are clear and thorough explanations of the subject matter (in this case, fractions) accompanied by a good amount of practice problems. A very nice and unusual feature of this book is that most of the answers provided to the exercises are broken down in the answer key, so you're not left hanging if you get a question wrong.
