I don't recommend this product though. Unfortunately the sound quality is terrible. I have to hold it right up to my face bc my coworkers say they can't hear me. **Q: how far away can this capture audio from?** A: I am the not manufacturer, you will have to contact the seller and ask for the manufacturers website for technical specificities. My own opinion on the matter is that microphones can record at varying distances depending on how much distortion you are willing to put up with, as you can put the GAIN on very high and hear sounds from miles away but sounds up close will be so loud it will cause clipping in your recording software unless you have double sampling and compression plugins which mitigate such problems. **Q: can it be plugged in to a smartphone?** A: NO, this device was of terrible quality. No one on the other end could hear me. **Q: If I input this into the rear 3.5mm aux input on my stereo receiver will I be able to use as a microphone** A: That is depending on the software controlling your 3.5mm aux jack, if it has a clear way to select it as a microphone input then that is all that is needed, if not then it won't work, as it won't auto sense a microphone, it will rely on you telling it there is a microphone on that port, which means adjusting the settings. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works with a headset splitter *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on 13 December 2023* I ordered this microphone to test with a work laptop and it didn't work at first since the laptop has a combo jack of speaker and microphone. I ordered another headset splitter and tried again and it worked well after. Sound quality is good for a small conference room. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good product! *by J***Z on Reviewed in Canada on 5 December 2023* This microphone is part of my daily job, and it works like a charm! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great little mic - just plug it in! *by A***D on Reviewed in the United States on 21 February 2024* I needed a microphone for my computer because the one in my headset went out. This little mic plugs into the place where my headset mic went, and it works perfectly. The best thing I like about it is that it just lays on the table next to me; I don't have that mic in front of my mouth anymore. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dreokee Conference Microphone 3.5mm Desktop Computer Mic for Computer Desktop and Laptop 360° Omnidirectional Condenser Mic for Online Meeting/Class, Skype, Recording, Chatting, Gaming - Amazon Basics Stereo 2.0 Speakers for PC or Laptop, 3.5mm Aux input, USB-Powered, 1 Pair, Black - LANDIBO 3.5mm PC Microphone，Professional Adjustable gooseneck Streaming mic Compatible with PC/Mac driverless Plug and Play, Recording, Gaming, Streaming, Podcast Microphone (3.5mm) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/632934674-conference-microphone-3-5mm-pick-up-computer-microphone-desktop-mini](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/632934674-conference-microphone-3-5mm-pick-up-computer-microphone-desktop-mini) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
