The design is very good and the quality is also very good. I got this as I was installing a new kitchen and wanted to scribe worktops and plinths accurately. I must say I am very pleased and impressed with this. Worktops were offered up to the wall and the tool set accordingly, the blades are tungsten carbide and very sharp (watch your fingers!). The blade scores a line into the worktop and the beauty of this tool is that you can run it back and forth several times if you need to and it still scores an accurate line, which can then enable the item to be trimmed to fit. This tool will last ages. Not cheap, but happy to pay for a well thought out design which works. A credit to the designer and manufacturer, I cannot praise this tool enough. Would a panel scribed into a small shower tray lip of 20mm be too small?** A: I’ve only used it a few time but I believe 20mm is to small to hold it steady, may be better of with the trend scribing tool. **Q: Where do you get replacement scribe blades from?** A: Not needed any still on my first blade . Definitely a well made item. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bladed scribing tool . *by J***R on 13 November 2022* A good choice for scribing laminate and across the grain assuming blade is sharp and in good condition as blade will reduce chance of breakout . It as with all tools best when used for the purpose designed .
