I filled a crockpot with water and heated the stones on high for 30 minutes. They were hot when I took them out! I put a towel on her back, placed the stones on her neck and spine, then cover them with towel. This will retain the heat longer. The oval working stones were too hot so I placed them in water to cool off. They fit perfectly in my hand. I oiled it with a blend of lavender and coconut oil to massage her.
